It’s a small gripe but one that I do think is relevant considering there are three seasons included in this collection. I just think with the sheer volume of product that somehow it could have been done better. Too much packed into one container more or less with the feeling that the discs were not going to hold in place.

I did not like the way this series was packaged. The audio was also nice and crisp with nothing to complain about. The show is filmed well and looks good on the small screen. The mysteries that are solved take the viewer along for a new adventure all the time which does keep things interesting for most the time. The entire setup is akin to Indiana Jones with the same irreverent style that is pervasive all the way through those movies. The characters work really well together which makes for fun viewing. There is a real chemistry between Fox and Nigel, her teaching assistant. Even lines are guessable with the saving grace being that everyone is enjoying what they are doing, and the humour more than makes up for the shortcomings in other departments. It is highly predictable with very little in the way of storyline surprises.

However don’t even think for a second that you will need to think to enjoy the show. It is a light hearted, fun series that is sure to take viewers away from whatever is going on in their own world for just a while. There are some issues with heavy telegraphing of punches and kicks that have been totally caught out on camera which takes a bit away from the show overall. Sydney Fox is meant to be a martial arts expert and Tia plays this well. Relic Hunter is an enjoyable series despite some pretty dubious scripting and choreography. She is also a professor and we do get to see her spend some time in that capacity. Think of it as Indiana Jones with a smaller budget and a female lead and you will be on the way to a good time. For those who have not heard of the show, Carrere plays the role of a Tomb Raideresque character by the name of Dr Sydney Fox finding treasure throughout the world, and of course kicking butt along the way. With an evil villain on the loose who has stolen the very past itself, it is up to you and your friends to save the entire galaxy.Tia Carrere stars in Relic Hunter, seasons 1-3 from Via Vision Entertainment.

Relic Hunters Legend will support online co-op for up to 4 different players so you can all experience chaotic daily runs, endless games, and fast-paced battles alongside one another. Many of the items you come across will be randomized, which after being combined with a deep RPG system yields thousands of possible character builds to experience and try out. The levels that you traverse will have both vertical and horizontal mobility, making the game feel much more three dimensional while your entertaining cast of characters function in a much more two dimensional manner. You will be able to explore an open world inspired by the original Legend of Zelda through a top-down perspective as you follow along with a story about friendship and time travel. This newest iteration of the Relic Hunters series will features new weapons, enemies, stages, characters, and crisp 2D/3D mix visuals. Relic Hunters Legend is expected to release sometime in 2017 and currently little is known about the game, but it is expected to play much like its predecessor Relic Hunters Zero.
